Farm Log: March 28

“Back at ‘er!”

Happy Friday, folks, and welcome back to our Farm Log: star date March 28th. (Yes, yes, that is a loose StarTrek reference.)

If you’re new here, welcome! And if you’re old here…same! Even after a restful winter, our knees hurt, too…Gotta remember our farm ergonomics and yoga this year.

Change and adaptability

Adapting to change

I found this image a while back and held on to it as a reminder of the resilience and adaptability of nature. Only one thing on a farm is guaranteed: that things will change. The important thing to remember is to go along with those changes! Adapting to new circumstances is the only way we continue to grow.

Seasonal Shareholder Program

Thank you to those who signed up for our Seasonal Shareholder program. For everyone else, you have 3 more days to sign up and receive an additional 5% bonus of fresh produce!

And suppose you haven’t fully digested the idea. To clarify, the Seasonal Shareholder program is our version of a veggie box, but instead of subscribing to weekly payments of scheduled, pre-planned veggie boxes, it’s a one-time payment that serves as your seasonal credit. Throughout the season, you simply order what you want through our online store to have your personalized veggie box ready to pick up directly from the farm or the farmer’s market. It assures you get the produce you want, in the quantities you wish, when you want it. The investment tiers are $750, $500 and $300.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Back to regular farm updates:

Greeeeens

We’ve got tons of greens sprouting in the tunnel, our garlic is showing its green tips, and the nursery is full of seedlings—>

We are expecting to be back at the Kelowna Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market on April 12th. As the weather warms and folks reconnect over local goods, we cannot wait to get back into the swing of a weekly market.

Garlic popping up!

Nursery full of babies!

Thanks for supporting us already by spending your precious attention here! We don’t take it for granted.
